Coulterman crafts three-dimensional human figures in seductive colours, with exaggerated features and forms that are directly influenced from graphic novels. Absurd, abstract forms engulf, drip and extrude from the figures he creates. These forms that surround or become part of the figures are visual metaphors of absurd anomalies and emotional states the characters he creates are experiencing. His work has been included in numerous group exhibitions and he has had solo exhibitions in Toronto, Portland, San Diego, and Regina.
